Finance Workshop

Financing Heavy Rail Enhancements A one-day workshop hosted by PricewaterhouseCoopers
The one day workshop led by PricewaterhouseCoopers will explore in depth the issues a railway company or public authority has to deal with when funding and financing an enhancement to the rail network. Hear from project leaders in Scotland, Austria and the Czech Republic who have to resolve these same issues on projects currently in planning.
Also hear about how these issues were resolved for the Richmond-Airport-Vancouver project which is the first major rail PPP to reach commercial close in North America. The workshop will also review the outcome of discussions held at the EU Transport Summit held in October 2005 with a view to developing a response from the rail industry.
Incorporating presentations, case studies and interactive panels, attendance at this workshop will help you:
• Analyse financing options and the decision-making process – improve your decision-making up front • Recognise how the packaging of your projects can be critical to attracting funding • Identify ways to accelerate progress in delivering TEN-T projects in particular and financing heavy rail in general
